Apple iWatch[See VIDEO] Release Date VS Samsung; Confirm Wearable Tech Out October 2013[PHOTO]; The Race Is ON As Competitors Scramble To Copy The iwatch

The Apple iwatch release date is expected to be in late 2013. Rumors say the release date is unclear but the Apple unveiling will most likely be in October 2013. The release date for the iwatch for Apple is very important because the race is on to develop the technology for the wearable tech between Apple Samsung, Google, and Microsoft.

The 2013 iwatch rumors say the iwatch could be a cell phone on your wrist. Calls could be made, games can be played, the internet could be searched and Apps could be used on this smartwatch. As the release date approaches more details will come out about the fascinating iwatch.

The iwatch, wearable tech, will feature a 1.5-inch display built by RiTdisplay with the help of Intel, which will presumably supply the processors for the iWatch; Intel chips power most Apple devices, including all Mac laptops and desktops.

Apple has every reason to finish the iWatch and ensure a release date before the end of 2013. Since the first New York Times report, many rival companies to Apple including Samsung, Google and even Microsoft announced intentions to release competitors to Apple's presumptive "iWatch," and are fast-tracking their production to ensure a release date before or around that of the iWatch.

Even Sony, which has rivaled Apple since the iPod vs. Walkman days, recently released its SmartWatch 2 in late June.

Apple submitted the iWatch trademark application on June 3, but Japan Patent Office website chose to release the patent on June 27, which reportedly covers "computers, computer peripherals and wristwatches.

One of the main difficulties Apple will face in building the iWatch will be the watch's wrist strap. Many watchmakers prefer all-metal enclosures; considering Apple is a luxury brand, the company may pursue some form of lightweight metal to help create the iWatch strap.

After Apple announced the possibility of an iWatch, Microsoft now might be building its own smartwatch.

A Wall Street Journal reported that Microsoft asked suppliers earlier this year to ship components from Asia for such a device, among them 1.5-inch touchscreens.

One of the sources for the Wall Street Journal report met with Microsoft's research and development team at its base in Redmond, WA.

A smartwatch would just be the next level in the technology world. The cell phone has helped changed the way people go about their daily routines and have thus depleted the use of wearing a watch. The watch has started to make a comeback in fashion and the smartwatch might combine the use of a cell phone and the fashion of wearing a watch.
