PlayStation 4 Release Date Set For October 29 Along With Battlefield 4 [RUMOR]: Sony PS4 To Include 'The Playroom' Augmented Reality Game App

Sony PlayStation 4 release date may be set as early as October, as revealed by Amazon's listing for the PS4 games.

A lot of rumors about PlayStation 4 release date have been swirling around the gaming world but the most recent one claimed that Sony's next-generation game console may arrive at the end of October. According to Christian Post, Amazon may have unintentionally unleashed PlayStation 4 release date, which allegedly, will be on October 29, because of the listing posted online of PS4 games that will be available at that day.

The record said that games for the PlayStation 4 like Battlefield 4 will be available on October 29. This led many gamers and experts to believe that PlayStation 4 release date may happen much earlier, even weeks before the market launch of its intense rival console, Microsoft's Xbox One, which is set to be released on November 27.

Though there is no firm PlayStation 4 release date yet, the pre-order sales for Sony's console have already been very phenomenal. Sony is offering 4 various bundles to customers and every bundle will come preloaded with the augmented reality application called "The Playroom."

PlayStation 4 app, "The Playroom," was first seen during Sony's press conference at E3 2013. It combines the use of DualShock 4 Controller with the PlayStation 4 Eye camera to "interact with a fleet of on-screen robots," Latin Times reported. The game application is also compatible with PS Vita and mobile devices like tablets and smartphones.

PlayStation 4 Eye and additional DualShock 4 controllers are sold separately, available each for $59. Though Sony has not made any confirmations yet regarding PlayStation 4 release date, interested consumers can pre-order the game console for $399.
