Edward Snowden Marriage Proposal From Former Russian Spy Anna Chapman: Spy Meets Spy....And Gets Passport?

Edward Snowden asylum may come from a different source. Former Russian spy Anna Chapman just proposed marriage to Edward Snowden on Twitter.

NSA leaker on the run, Edward Snowden, and Anna Chapman, the brazen former Russian spy, seem to be a match made in Heaven-or the Moscow airport. (Or Venezuela, or Ecuador, or...wherever Edward Snowden is).

The marriage proposal Tweet was simple enough, reading: "Snowden, will you marry me?!"

Spy meets spy, indeed.

The world is currently puzzling over the whereabouts of Edward Snowden, who has managed to slip through incredible levels of media attention and scrutiny and gone off the grid again. Snowden may still be holed up in the Moscow airport; or may have been smuggled onto the plane of Bolivian President Evo Morales headed for South America, which then turned back. Alternatively, Edward Snowden may be a holographic illusion, or may have been abducted by aliens as part of a vast government conspiracy.

Oh wait. There already is a vast government conspiracy. Ha, ha....ha?

Aaaanyway, Anna Chapman asked Edward Snowden to marry her. She is the Russian spy turned fashionista who is the daughter of a senior KGB agent.

In 2010, Anna Chapman and nine others were accused of spying. She has since become a Russian celeb. Oh, and Chapman's really hot.

She has made appearances at the Moscow Film Festival alongside Brad Pitt and on the catwalk at Russian Fashion Week. She's also edited a magazine and given lectures; Chapman now runs a charitable foundation.

Snowden does have a girlfriend, Lindsay Mills...but the duo may be on the outs because of the whole NSA thing. Maybe she's best suited to another spy? The two do look similar.

From Russia with love? After all, if Anna Chapman and Edward Snowden married, he'd get a Russian passport.
