Miley Cyrus ‘We Can’t Stop’: Lyrics Inspired By Lil’ Kim? Liam Hemsworth’s Fiancée Says She Was Rap Artist In Past Life

Miley Cyrus told Billboard magazine earlier this week that she believes she was Lil' Kim in a past life - even though the rapper is still alive - raising questions about her inspirations for lyrics.

The "We Can't Stop" singer told the magazine that she is a fond admirer of the rap artist's talent and style.

"In my past life, I feel like that was me. I feel like Lil' Kim is who I am on the inside. She just makes me happy ... I just love her and I can't help that I love her," Miley Cyrus said during her interview.

Liam Hemsworth's fiancée also mentioned that she's an admirer of 30-year-old Nicki Minaj, even mentioning that she is the "Lil' Kim of her generation."

Her grandmother, 67-year-old Dolly Parton, is regarded by Miley Cyrus as "a real-life Barbie doll," according to TVNZ.

Miley Cyrus spoke about musical inspirations and talents during her interview with Billboard and mentioned that the 54-year-old singer Joan Jett "represents a different time when females weren't supposed to be able to kick ass the way that she came out and did."

The "We Can't Stop" star has made headlines for her rocky relationship with Liam Hemsworth and for her new musical style and appearance - different from her times on the "Hannah Montana" show on Disney.

Critics of Miley Cyrus say she promotes drug use and over-sexualization while others who support her career, like Snoop Lion, say she's "transcending into womanhood."
