Festival Remembers Roswell UFO Crash Incident [VIDEO]: Google Doodle Celebrates 66th Anniversary, Is The Government Still Hiding A Conspiracy?

It's been 66 years since the infamous Roswell UFO incident, but with a Google Doodle and a festival underway, let's take a look at historical, and possibly conspiratorial, event.

It began on July 2, 1947, when rancher Mac Brazel and others reported hearing a loud crash near Corona, New Mexico, according to Christian Post.

By July 6, some of the wreckage debris had been shown and recovered by Major Jesse Marcel and his commanding officer, William Blanchard. Two days later, newspapers were running the story using the keywords UFO and cover-up as their focuses.

Since then, opinions by believers and skeptics continue to run rampant on the Roswell UFO incident.

"These UFOs are interplanetary devices systematically observing the earth, either manned or under remote control, or both," said Colonel Joseph J. Bryan III, founder of the CIA's psychological warfare staff.

"We got no conclusions, except after this, do not give us the old routine of Venus, weather balloons, aircraft and the like which has been given as a general panacea for almost every case of UFOs," continued Admiral Delmar Fahrney of the U.S. Navy Missile Chief.

And now, 66 years later, the Roswell UFO Festival is remembering the event, and possibly the conspiracy, with three days of festival activities, including panel talks by UFO experts, local shops and stands, and costumes.

While some still believe the government hid something about the Roswell UFO incident, Google is focusing on the fun with an interactive Doodle.

According to Mashable, the Google Doodle is a point-and-click adventure game in which users must help an alien return home after crash-landing in Roswell.
