Julianne Hough Racy Fourth Of July Towel Photo Outrages Instagram User, But Shows Hough Clearly Has Other American Idols On Her Mind Than Ryan Seacrest

Julianne Hough posted a Fourth of July bikini show that was provocative, yet patriotic. Hough was wrapped in an American flag towel to her Instagram account, and the result was a star-spangled sensation.

Julianne Hough ditched Ryan Seacrest, American Idol host, for an American icon: the flag, of course. The star looked flawless with just the Fourth of July towel on.

Still, some say Hough was disrespecting the flag. Others think she looked fabulous, or even that it's particularly American to let the red, white, and blue show off your curves.

"I am a big fan, but as a military wife and as a military brat you are disrespecting the flag. The flag is NOT ever meant to be worn or draped on the body as you have displayed here. Even if you have a bathing suit on, this violates the regulations for use of the flag. Like it or not, it's not cool," one user said, according t HollywoodLife.com.

However, Julianne is wearing a towel  shaped like a flag over a bikini, rather than being nude underneath-the fan may have not looked closely enough. The star looks to be in a suburban, tree-lined street; it's an instant reminder of an iconic, classic American summer.

The singer, dancer, and actress, 24, broke up with American Idol's Ryan Seacrest recently...but she was clearly thinking of a different kind of America, and a different piece of her past.

The photo was captioned, TBT. Happy Fourth of July." TBT means "throwback Thursday" on social media. The photo was from a shoot in July 2008.....and she's clearly grown up since then, even moving on from her Ryan Seacrest breakup. Who needs him, right?!

Their breakup seems to be more about their careers and schedules than personality clashes. Perhaps Hough is just too strong and All-American for Seacrest. An insider said at the time,

"It just got to be too much. I think they both just sort of knew they couldn't do it anymore," a source told Us Weekly. "The travel and lifestyle got to be too much. Who knows if this is just for now, but I think this is for good."
