Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Update: Star Wars To Be Part Of Square Enix Action RPG? Director Tetsuya Nomura Considering Possibility

Fresh updates about Kingdom Hearts 3 release are suggesting that there might be a possibility for a Star Wars crossover in the upcoming action and role-playing game from Square Enix.

When the word came out about Disney purchasing Lucas Film, which consequently gave the company the rights for Star Wars, people started to wonder if it will have an effect to Square Enix Kingdom Hearts 3 release, which is being developed in collaboration with Disney.

Should gamers expect Donald Duck to be so adorable in a Jedi outfit in Kingdom Hearts 3? Will there be appearances from popular characters like Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo and more?

The series director of Kingdom Hearts 3, Tetsuya Nomura, wants the crossover to happen, according to a reporter from Kotaku.

"We've been talking about Star Wars itself since it became Disney's content recently. When I [heard] the news I was like, 'Wow! Wow!' Yeah obviously it's gonna be great if we could add it, but like I said there are a lot of restrictions and rules by Disney so we don't know what's gonna happen but yeah, we'll see," Nomura revealed during his interview last weekend at Japan Expo with Finaland, a French gaming site.

Sharing more about Kingdom Hearts 3 release, Nomura hinted that there will be surprises in store for  the final sequel of the action-packed game.

The Examiner reported that Kingdom Hearts 3 is currently in development under the Osaka branch of Square Enix with supervision from the main office in Tokyo. Kingdom Hearts 3 release will be the final in the current saga in terms of the storyline.

Kingdom Hearts 3 release is set to come out around early 2014 for the next-generation gaming consoles, the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One. However, a specific Kingdom Hearts 3 release date is yet to be announced by Square Enix.

While waiting for the Kingdom Hearts 3 release, interested fans and gamers can now pre-order the game, as well as the PS4 and Xbox One, from Amazon and other authorized online stores.
