PlayStation 4 Release Date Pushed Back To December 13 As Shown In Toys R Us' Site; Xbox One To Get Two-Week Sales Advantage?

PlayStation 4 release date could be two weeks behind its rival, Xbox One's launch.

A refreshed set of PlayStation 4 release date rumors are now flying around, claiming that Sony's upcoming game console arrival could be as late as mid part of December. If this rumor about the Sony PlayStation 4 release date is true, then, it may give its rival, the Microsoft Xbox One an advantage in the market war of the forthcoming consoles.

The Examiner reported, citing BGR that a new leak from a retailer suggested that PlayStation 4 release date may be set mid of December. The rumor about the delayed PS4 release date originated from the official website of United Kingdom Toys R Us.

According to its sales page for the Sony PlayStation 4, the next-gen game console will be available for procurement starting December 13 (screenshot of the page posted above this article). The rumored date is actually two weeks ahead of the US Amazon site says on their pre-order page claiming the product will be available on December 31.

However, if Sony will really set PlayStation 4 release date on December 13, then, it will most definitely be good news for Microsoft, as it gives them a two-week heads up in the market. On the same Toys R US' website for UK, the Xbox One release date is set for November 29.

Xbox One will be available in the market with a $499.96 price tag, which will already come with a wireless controller and Kinect, but without any games yet. However, PlayStation 4 is priced at about $100 lower than the Xbox One.
