Install Official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean To Nexus 4 [BEWARE]: Update May Brick The LG-Built Device Or Cause Performance Issues

Those who have the LG-manufactured Nexus 4 can now install official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to their devices.

HOWEVER, as reported by many tech news outlets, installing Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update could cause issues to your Nexus 4, and in worst cases, it may actually destroy them, rendering them useless.

The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update started to roll out for the owners of Nexus 4 from UK last week. However, instead of improving the performance of their Android phone, it left a lot of users frustrated and despaired.

Reportedly, after installing the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware, the update froze and got stuck on the 'X' screen or in a reboot loop. A reader from Know Your Mobile also shared that after it downloaded and installed Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the Nexus 4 got damaged. The reader's exact post was, "I downloaded and it ruined my Nexus 4. I couldn't even factory reset it. I just received my replacement through insurance for $150 and the update is available again in the tray. Think I'll be waiting to install this time."

Furthermore, the battery life of the Nexus 4 was also negatively affected after installing official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. In fact, the Nexus 4 battery of some users was completely destroyed after the update process.

Some users were also complaining about overheating issues they have encountered after installing Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.

Because of this, experts are highly recommending Android users to back up the data and settings on the phone before even installing any update, just in case the mobile device got corrupted during the installation process.

At the end of the day, even after knowing these possible performance issues that you might experience, it is still your sole prerogative to decide whether you will install the official Android 4.3 Jelly update of not.
