Despite Robin Thicke, director Diane Martel, and the topless models calling their unrated "Blurred Lines" video empowering, psychologist Dr. Peter Lovatt says the music visual is a resemblance of prostitution.

Dr. Lovatt, also a noted dancer, is Head of the Dance Psychology Lab at the University of Hertfordshire, pointed out somethings in the racy music video that shared similarities with a gentleman's club.

He highlighted to Now Magazine Online how Thicke, T.I., and Pharrell are decked out in the hottest gear, all the while models, Emily Ratajkowski, Jessi M' Bengue, and Elle Evans are practically naked. These elements can also be found in various high end strip clubs.

"It's got all the charm of a lap-dancing club," said the dance psychologist. "So, the men are fully dressed and the women are fully naked. The women dance for the men, and the men smile and smirk. The only thing missing is an exchange of dollar bills and a pimp."

Although the models were provided with sheer thongs to cover their female genitalia, Lovatt believes the nude lingerie was used to imply that they were baring it all.

"In the US lap dancers tend to wear only a thong. I'm not sure whether the thongs are meant to be see-through, but they're virtually see-through in 'Blurred Lines.'"

Thus, the dance expert truly believes that the "Blurred Lines" explicit video was degrading to the female species.

"There is nothing blurred about the 'Blurred Lines' video, said the Ph. D. "It objectifies women in the most juvenile way and has made my ironing experience even worse."

Recently, Emily, one member of the topless model trio in the visual for the top charting hit, admitted to liking people like Lovatt being concerned for women's rights. However, she assured in an interview with Complex that it was a gratifying experience.

"When you look more into the attitudes of the women and how we’re making direct eye-contact [with the camera]—we’re ignoring these guys, we’re having fun. You can see that [the females are] in the power position."
