Xbox One Release Date And Price: Graphics Upgrade? Microsoft Looking To Get Faster GPU, From 800 MHZ to 853 MHz

Xbox Live Vice President Marc Whitten outlines the changes the company has made to its upcoming console in a Major Nelson podcast published on Friday, pointing to a graphics update for the system, The Verge reports.

The Xbox One will be getting a faster GPU upping its speed from 800MHz to a blistering 853MHz, an increase of 6.5 percent, BostInno reports.

But Xbox One fans might have a head start in experiencing next-generation console gameplay - Microsoft will release its newest product on November 29, a pre-order listing on Toys R Us' UK website reveals.

The official release date of the Xbox One might be revealed at the Gamescom festival in August, which is held annually in Germany. It is the expected venue for the announcement of the release date. It will run from August 21 to August 25.

The Xbox One might have a release date after November 5 once "Call of Duty: Ghosts" is released on the Xbox 360, comments made by a Future Shop Gamer representative suggests.

The spokesman posted a message on Twitter on Monday that they believed the first-person shooter would be made available before the launches of both next-generation systems, Examiner reports.

In this scenario, fans can purchase the Xbox One versions even though the hardware to play the software on won't be available, Examiner also reports.

Microsoft has not announced an official release date for the Xbox One.
