iPhone 5S Release Date Set For September; Apple Next-Gen iOS Smartphone Arriving Without Fingerprint Sensor?

The rumor mill for iPhone 5S release date is currently in high gear as experts claim that the next-gen iOS mobile device will arrive this September.

A post about a possible iPhone 5S release date from a German blog site, iFun, intensified the rumors even more as it noted that Apple will release the forthcoming device particularly on September 6. As cited by Cross Map and Cult of Mac, it was reported that this news about iPhone 5S release date came from a credible source and "it must be taken seriously."

Furthermore, according to speculations, there is a very high chance that iPhone 5S release date could be set as early as September 2, which is also US Labor Day. This is because the final version of iOS 7, the alleged software that will be used by the device, will already be set for launch by that time. However,

according to a caption of a photo (depicting the possible iPhone 5S) from an article from Dave Smith of International Business Times, iPhone 5S release date may be set on the latter part of the month and not on September 2. The caption reads, "We fully expect Apple to release the iPhone 5S just two days after the Wednesday release date for iOS 7, on Friday, Sept. 20." (photo posted above the article)

Furthermore, there are tech experts who were suggesting that the 'S' in iPhone 5S means security since allegedly, a fingerprint sensor may be one of the highlights of the iOS mobile device. While reports are claiming that the upcoming device will look the same as its predecessor, iPhone 5S is rumored to sport a fingerprint sensor that is "embedded directly in the iPhone's single, signature home button, which will allegedly help users easily authenticate their identities to securely access their phone."

However, recent reports are now saying that the iPhone 5S may not come with the sensor, as the alleged parts that will be used for the iPhone 5S show no signs of the fingerprint security sensor.

While all the iPhone 5S release dates swirling around online are still considered speculations, what is most definite is that Apple fans are already looking forward to a fall release of the upcoming iOS device together with the iOS 7.
