PlayStation Plus Free Games: ‘Need For Speed Most Wanted’, ‘Mafia II’ And More Available For PS3 Gamers

Sony has already announced the new PlayStation Plus free games for this August. 

According to a report from Just Push Start, Sony revealed that new batch of free PS3 and PS Vita games available for PlayStation Plus, as well as PS3 free titles.

Reportedly, PlayStation Plus free games for PS3 users include three blockbuster titles such as "Need for Speed Most Wanted", "Spec Ops: The Line" and "Mafia II." Members of PlayStation Plus who have missed out these amazing games can now download and play them for free now.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted is one of the most exciting PlayStation Plus free games which fans and Sony PS3 gamers can enjoy. The game, developed by Criterion Studios, was highly lauded being the best driving game of last year.

The description from the blog site of PlayStation's official website reads, "You'll need to outrun the cops, outdrive friends, and outsmart your rivals. With a relentless police force gunning to take you down, you'll need to make split second decisions and use the open world to your advantage."

Furthermore, Sony released two PlayStation Plus free games for the PS Vita users for this month. Titles include "LEGO Lord of the Rings" and "When Vikings Attack." These are great additions to current PlayStation Plus free games such as "Saints Row the Third" and "Payday the Heist."

Aside from these PlayStation Plus free games, you should also check out the discounts and promo offered for only a week starting on July 31. You can get DLC for Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Hot Pursuit and The Run for a lower price from the PlayStation Store.

Furthermore, Sony revealed, as cited by PS3 news that on starting yesterday, August 2, "subscribers can download PSN title Crash Commando, PSone title Destruction Derby, and minis Dr. Maybe and the Adventures of Scarygirl and Omg-Z! all for free."
