After several days that Apple developer site went offline because of a security threat, the dev center has now been back online. And onn July 29, the Cupertino-based giant tech firm finally seeded iOS 7 beta 4 download.

As usual, the latest version of the test firmware for Apple's mobile operating system is expected to bring bug fixes and enhancements from the previous beta. But with iOS 7 beta 4 download, one of the most interesting reports that emerged online indicated the alleged arrival of a new security measure.

Latinos Post shared the tweet of Hazma Sood, revealing that next-gen iPhone may come with fingerprint sensor. The proof was a spotted folder from the iOS 7 beta 4 download with a name, "BiometricKitUI." Sood said that the file is part of the fingerprint sensor, which is rumored to be one of the key highlights of iPhone 5S.

Furthermore, Sood revealed to 9to5mac some more details about iOS 7 beta 4 and the fingerprint scanning system. He shared, "Sood tells us that the above strings are what an iPhone with VoiceOver on would read to a user. According to a source familiar with the development of the new iPhone, the user-interface for the fingerprint scanning system has been complete. This person also says that the technology is focused around unlocking the phone, so it is unclear if it is built for a payment system (as rumored) in the next iPhone."

iOS 7 beta 4 download is available for the members of Apple Developer program, which entails an annual fee of $99 per year.

The next version of the test firmwar, the iOS 7 beta 5, will allegedly arrive on August 12.
