Miami Dolphins Preseason Game [VIDEO] Loss To Dallas Cowboys Sunday Night At Hall Of Fame Game: 'I Thought We'd Play Better'

Miami Dolphins preseason debut game ends with a loss against the Dallas Cowboys Sunday Night at the annual Hall of Fame game that is the first non-regular season game of the year.

"I thought we'd play better," head coach of the Miami Dolphins, Joe Philbin told reporters about the preseason game for his team who lost 24-20.

In a preseason game, a lot of the game has to do with the starters getting prepared for the regular season and the Miami Dolphins preseason game for the starters didn't go as expected. During the first drive of the game, the Cowboys drove down the field, but eventually punted.

During the first drive for the Miami Dolphins, a botched handoff led to a fumble by somebody who could potentially be the replacement for Reggie Bush as he departed to the Detroit Lions during the offseason. Ryan Tannehill was ruled with the fumble during the exchange to the running back. After a pass interference call at the one-yard-line, the Cowboys ran it in for a touchdown and the early lead.

The game did not see much of Ryan Tannehill as he played two more drives after that, completing two passes. His counterpart in Tony Romo did not start for Dallas since he is recovering from back surgery.

Sixth-round rookie Devonte Holloman's 75-yard interception return with a tipped pass keyed the Dallas Cowboys' 24-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins in the Hall of Fame Game on Sunday night that opened the NFL's preseason.
