Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have made headlines for their mysterious off-stage relationship, but one expert says the "Heartbreaker" star might not be her best option.

"They have to consider their professional standing and I think Selena has got to the stage where she wants to launch herself as a serious performer, and she would actually be held back by Justin who is really very childlike," celebrity relationship expert Jo Hemmings said, according to Entertainment Wise.

"He goes off the rails when they're apart and went seriously off the rails when they first broke up, and I get the feeling he needs her much more than she needs him."

Justin Bieber added a rose tattoo to his forearm last week, leaving fans wondering if he got the new inkling to profess his love for Selena Gomez.

The "Heartbreaker" singer bought her a single rose for her 21st birthday party and now some speculate he got the tattoo of the same rose on his arm.

But Justin Bieber also recently partied at Catch nightclub in New York City with an unknown girl, EntertainmentWise also reports, adding fire to drama in his relationship with Selena Gomez.

While the couple announced earlier this year that they split, the status of their on-off relationship remains unknown.
