Prepare For Doctor Who 50th Anniversary With Soundtrack: 74 Tracks For From Season 7 For September 9 Release

As "Doctor Who" prepares for the 50th Anniversary Special and the 12th Doctor, fans can treat themselves to the soundtrack release of the BBC hit series on September 9.

Doctor Who TV confirms that Silva Screen will be releasing the official season 7 soundtrack, with 5,000 limited edition copies using a special gatefold wallet, while the rest will be packaged in a double jewel case.

The soundtrack has a whopping 74 tracks for "Doctor Who" fans! In addition, two bonus tracks will be available on iTunes for download.

In addition, the update purports that one of either Colin Baker, Paul McGann, Tom Baker, Sylvester McCoy or Peter Davison will make an appearance in the 50th Anniversary episode, in addition to Matt Smith and David Tennant.

So, in addition to Smith, Tennant, and their companions Jenna Coleman and Billie Piper, will one of these Classic Doctors join the cast along with John Hurt?

But, as Doctor Who TV notes, the appearance of a Doctor besides Matt Smith, David Tennant, and John Hurt has been fervently denied by the cast, including most recently at Comic-Con.

Meanwhile, the 12th Doctor will be introduced at the end of the Christmas Special following the 50th Anniversary.

With so much in store for "Doctor Who" this year, such a cool soundtrack would be an excellent addition for all Whovians.
