Chris Brown Announces Retirement [VIDEO] With Tweet That Was Taken Down Afterwards: 'X' Will Be His Last Album Come August 20th, 'I Can Transform Ya' Singer Tired Of Bad Reputation

Chris Brown announces retirement, sort of, when he took to Twitter Tuesday and said that his next album will be his last in his career.

The 24-year-old Chris Brown will be putting out his sixth studio-album on August 20 and apparently that will be it as he announces retirement after the release of the album. He doesn't have a tour set yet, but it wouldn't be shocking if he promotes the new album with one last tour.

Even though Chris Brown tweeted the announcement of his retirement, it was deleted shortly after it went out.

"Don't worry mainstream America. After this X album, it'll probably be my last album," the "Take it to the Head" singer tweeted.

Since it was deleted, it brings up the possibility that maybe it was a stunt to promote the album entitled "X" after it was decided to get rid of its original name, Carpe Diem.

There is also the possibility that he is tired of all the publicity since he assaulted his then girlfriend, Rihanna when she came out and showed pictures of the bruises all over her face.

"Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I'm cool & over it," Chris Brown tweeted, referencing his 2009 felony assault with Rihanna.

Maybe he really is tired of the negativity he perceives from the media constantly. He did break a window after walking off the set of "Good Morning America" as well as an altercation with Drake in 2012. During the fight among everyone there, NBA star Tony Parker had glass go in his eye, causing him to get surgery to fix it.

Later that year, Chris Brown and Frank Ocean got into an altercation over a parking spot. Brown punched Ocean and the fellow singer decided not to press charges even though he alleged Brown threatened to shoot him while one of Brown's associates called Ocean a homophobic slur.

As far as the album goes, its lead single, "Fine China", was released on April 1, 2013. Confirmed artist that will be featured on "X" are Kendrick Lamar, Ludacris, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna with production from Diplo and Danja.
