Official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update Currently In The Works For Samsung Galaxy S3 [LEAKED PHOTO]

Samsung Galaxy S3 may receive Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update soon and just skip the v4.2.2 firmware.

Owners of Samsung Galaxy S3 have long been expecting a software upgrade for their smartphone, most anticipating Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update. However, until now, there is no official update yet arriving over-the-air, causing frustrations to some.

But recently, news came up suggesting the possibility that Samsung Galaxy S3 may skip Android 4.2.2 and just go straightaway to the latest Google OS release, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. In fact, an insider from Samsung research and development in India supported the report, showing a fuzzy image of supposed Samsung Galaxy S3 running the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware.  The leaked photo is posted above this article.

Furthermore, aside from Samsung Galaxy S3, it is also reported that the current-gen phablet device, the Galaxy Note 2 4G will also skip  4.2.2 and be updated directly with official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware. This is according to an Australian network carrier, Telstra, which stated,

"Samsung have elected globally to skip the 4.2.2 us pdate for this device and will instead go to a newer version of Android. No schedule has been provided for this update."

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update brings a number of bug fixes and performance improvements. Reportedly, the new features and enhancements include OpenGL ES 3.0 to improve graphics for video and gaming; Bluetooth Low-Energy support and restricted access mode for user profiles.

Official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update had its debut, alongside the new Nexus 7 during a Google press event in San Francisco on July 24
