Gamescom 2013 Update: Sony To Reveal ‘Fantastic Announcement’; Will It Include PlayStation 4 Release Date?
Gamescom 2013 is happening two weeks from now, making a lot of gamers excited about the myriad of upcoming news to be revealed during the event.
Gamescom 2013 updates are starting to pour in from different game developers, publishers and console manufacturers as the big European gaming trade fair show nears. And as usual, fans can expect a lot of big announcements during the event.
Most of the gaming fans are particularly excited about what Sony has in store for its fans and followers this Gamescom 2013. Crave Online noted, "Sony in particular takes the show very seriously, and has a history of announcing price drops, new titles, and even new features at the yearly show hosted in Cologne, Germany."
But one thing is for sure. Sony will reveal some fantastic announcements for everyone after Sony XDev Europe created a Twitter post shown below:

Sony fans are also expecting further details about PlayStation 4 release date after stating that it will arrive at some point this holiday season. This led experts to assume that Gamescom 2013 will be a perfect avenue for Sony Computer Entertainment to finally proclaim the official PlayStation 4 release date.
Gamescom 2013 will be held from August 21 to 25 but Sony has already revealed that it will held its press conference on August 20, one day before the video game trade fair show officially starts. Sony's press conference for Gamescom 2013 will start promptly at 7:00PM Central European Time or 10:00AM PST, and will last for 60 to 90 minutes.
