Lea Michele's Tribute to Boyfriend Cory Monteith at Teen Choice Awards 2013 [VIDEO]; "Lucky To Witness His Incredible Talent, His Handsome Smile, And His Beautiful, Beautiful Heart"
Lea Michele gave a touching tribute to boyfriend Cory Monteith at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards in her speech last night. Lea Michele and Cory Monteith starred together on the television show Glee. Lea Michele plays Rachel Berry and Cory Monteith played Finn Hudson as members of a high school Glee club. Lea Michele was accepting an award for the show Glee at the Teen Choice Awards when she gave the touching Cory Monteith tribute speech.
Lea Michele and Cory Monteith also were dating before his untimely death of a drug overdose in a Vancouver hotel room. According to sources they were supposed to get married. Michele has been grieving with the family of Cory Monteith and made few public appearances since Cory's death.
Lea Michele said in her Cory Monteith tribute Teen Choice Awards 2013 speech:
"Thank you guys. Thank you. I just wanted to be here today to personally thank all of you and tell everyone out there how much your love and support has meant to me over these very past few difficult weeks.
"Not that I had any doubt before, but you guys are most certainly the greatest fans in the world and I wanted to dedicate this award to Cory. For all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did, I promise that with your love we're going to get through this together. He was very special to me and also to the world. We were very lucky to witness his incredible talent, his handsome smile, and his beautiful beautiful heart. So whether you knew him personally or just as Finn Hudson, Cory reached out and he became a part of all of our hearts and that's where he will stay forever. So thank you guys so much. Thank you."
Lea Michele was even wearing a nameplate necklace that said "Cory" while giving her tribute Teen Choice Awards 2013 speech,
