Julia Roberts Sister Nancy Motes Bullied By Pretty Woman Star for Obesity [VIDEO]; Weight Loss Surgery Was A Result

Julia Roberts sister Nancy Motes came out recently to talk about being bullied by the Pretty Woman star for her weight.  She was once obese, weighing 280 pounds, but through bariatric surgery and weight loss she lost 98 lbs. 

Nancy Motes said she felt very intimidated by being the sister of the beautiful Julia Roberts, and that she was discouraged from acting by her big sister.  Julia Roberts is an actress well known for her beauty.  She has been on the list of People's Most Beautiful many times.  George Clooney said: "There's a reason why Julia is a timeless beauty, and it has nothing to do with the way she looks.  It has everything to do with who she is."

Nancy Motes talked about being bullied by sister Julia Roberts about her weight: "It makes me feel incredibly hurt and very sad.

"When you're in a family of very, very exceptionally beautiful people it's intimidating.

"I think that growing up as Pretty Woman's little sister has definitely made me try to see the person inside and not the person outside. A lot of my life I felt judged for my weight.

"When I was in high school and she was an adult, she would just let me know that I was definitely overweight. She would make it quite clear to me and in a not so nice manner. Julia did not want to see me go down that path [of acting] ... So I just got a lot of criticism from Julia, which was very discouraging for me."

Of her weight loss surgery, Julia Roberts' sister Nancy Motes said: "It's a work in progress, it's not going to be fixed overnight, nor do I think it's going to be fixed by me just getting skinny."
