FTISLAND Lee Hong Ki Attends Premium Event for Movie 'Passionate Goodbye/Song of Phoenix' in Japan

FTISLAND Lee Hong Ki attended "Phoenix ~The Song of Promise~" Premium Event.

The event was held on 26th August at Pacifico Yokohama.

The casts of his film, Lee Hong Ki, Ma Tong Seok, Lim Won Hee, Baek Jing Hee and Jeon Min Seo attended this event.

"Phoenix ~The Song of Promise~" was released on the 30th May in Korea and 07th June in Japan. This film was film-debut and the first leading act experience for Lee Hong Ki.

At the beginning of this event, the MC asked Hong Ki if there were any difficult scenes he had to act, he answered, "When I started shooting this film, Chung I and I were much alike, but as the shooting went on and saw Chung I was growing into adult, I thought I'm still immature." That brought laughter to the audiene.

Then, MC asked Ma Dong Seok if his variety of work experience became useful while shooting the film and he answered that when he had to play drums in this film, his experience as a band man became useful. Also he has been doing exercise (sports) and that became useful when he had to do the fighting scenes." He played drums during the original act and Phoenix band live. He said that it was the first time in 20 years since he played drums last time, but we could see him as a professional drummer even now.

Ma Dong Seok always plays the bad guy in dramas and films and he seems grim looking, but as Hong Ki described Ma Dong Seok as a very nice and warm hearted person, we could see that he has very good sense of humour, kind and cheerful person.

The premium event consisted of Lee Hong Ki's solo stage, talk session, quiz session, the original act specially prepared for this event, the lines reading (from this film) and Phoenix band live.

What really impressed the audience and brought them to tears was the line reading session. When each cast read their lines from the film, the scenes appeared on the screen. The audience remembered those scenes and watching those scenes and listening to the live line reading brought the audience to each scene and many were in tears.

As the event I went to see was second session and all the cast looked more relaxed and enjoying the event.

At the end of the event, Hong Ki told the audience "I really thank you all. I would like to tell you and myself to value your life and people around you. Talking about myself, I would like to keep doing my best as a actor and also as a musician. So please keep supporting me. "

Hong Ki has a very busy schedule ahead with FTISLAND. FTISLAND will make comeback in Korea late this month, release a special self-covering album in Japan, and hold 6th debut anniversary live concert at the end of September, then will start Japan ZEPP Tour in October.

Surely Lee Hong Ki as an actor and musician and as a person, he must have learned a lot from this film and grew up, and it won't be that long till  we see that mature side of him.
