Top Android Tablets 2013: Ranking The Beasts In The Business, Samsung Note 10.1, Asus Transformer, Sony Xperia Tablet Z, Etc.

In recent years, there has not been any need for tablets because it just goes in between the smartphone and laptop computer niches. However, as consumers aim to use their devices on the go, using tablets become more and more practical. And now, the market is sprawling with the best pieces of technology.

Now, we decide (more or less) which the top Android tablet is for the next couple of months.

Samsung Note 10.1 (To be released next year)

Not making our list (because it's not released yet) is Samsung's upcoming tablet due next year. It sports a 10.1-inch screen with 2560x1600 resolution. It will also come with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box, a quadcore processor, and storage options of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z

Sony has suddenly become a force to be reckoned with in the Android world, specifically in both the smartphone and tablet niches. What separates its devices from the pack is the premium finish and style, and the ever-useful waterproof capability. Equipped with a rubberized back, this tablet is easy and safe to hold even for toddlers. It also features a quadcore CPU, amazing device dimensions, 2GB of RAM, and a 2.2MP front camera that can record videos at 30fps.

Google Nexus 7

Packing a 7-inch display with 1920x1200 resolution, this tablet is certainly one of the best there is on the market today. An upgrade to the previous Nexus tablet, this beast features a quadcore processor, gorgeous dimensions, a 5MP snapper, and a 1.2 megapixel front camera. However, one major downside that some customers may consider is the plastic casing which made it a lot cheaper than its rivals.

Asus Transformer Pad TF700T "Infinity"

As cited by ZD Net, the Asus Transformer Pad is the thinnest and most stylish Android tablet on the market today. And it offers what competition doesn't, an entire detachable keyboard for users who prefer the traditional way of typing. Some of its notable features include a 1920x1200 screen resolution, a 10.1" display, an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quadcore processor, an 8 megapixel camera, 2MP front-facing camera, and up to 9 hours of battery life. It may be running on the already ageing Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android, but it is still capable of taking on fresher tablets today.

Overall, the best Android tablet a consumer can get is the Google Nexus 7, with all its lightning-fast features and juicy specifications. What's great news is that all of these benefits come at just a fraction of the price.
