Ben Affleck as Batman Will Be Fantastic: Jennifer Garner Reveals Batfleck Plan; Fan Backlash Turns To Origin Questions

Ben Affleck as Batman will be fantastic! Jennifer Garner plays the better half role as she throws her full support for her husband. Playing Batman was apparently a plan. Despite the public backlash, the "Argo" director has his share of believers. Fans had no choice but to accept the fate of their Dark Knight, and are now discussing questions on Batman's Origins in the new DC-Zach Snyder Universe.

Garner, who played villainess "Electra" in the super hero flick "Daredevil" where her husband played the title role, has revealed that it was actually her husband's secret plan.

In an interview with MTV, the former "Alias" star says:   In an interview with MTV, Garner said, "You know, I was excited for him. I was excited because he had a real take on what he wanted to do, and you know, I have to say, my husband is a pretty great storyteller himself, and I'm excited to watch him do it." Other defenders of 'Batfleck' include Kevin Smith and best pal Matt Damon.

Meanwhile, fans who have objected to the selection of Ben Affleck have accepted the decision, and are now raising questions on how they present Batman's origin. It has been announced that they will not follow the "Batman Begins" origin of Christopher Nolan.

In choosing Affleck instead of a young star the same age as Henry Cavill (who plays Superman), they portray Batman in his forties. Does this mean there will not be an origin? That Batman will not be the same child traumatized by witnessing his parent's murder?

We'll have to wait and see. The Man of Steel's yet untitled sequel will be released on July 17, 2015.
