As "The Legend of Korra" Book 2 prepares for its release, many fans are anticipating what the new journey of the Avatar, and some popular theories will be tested.

Here is some of the most popular fan theories regarding what could happen in "The Legend of Korra" Book 2.

As many fans know, "The Legend of Korra" Book 2 will focus on the Spirit World as it falls out of balance, and Korra must deal with both internal conflicts between the Northern and Southern Water Tribes and dark spirits that begin to seep into the world.

"Here's a theory for the plot of Book 2. Korra restores bending to all of Amon's victims, but some nonbenders lie about being victims in order to test if Korra can give anyone bending. Korra unknowingly gives bending to people that shouldn't have it, which angers the spirits that set the rules for who gets bending and who does not," writes YouTuber MegaBob452,

"Until Korra takes back the bending from the people that weren't supposed to have it, spirits run amok in the physical world like Hei Bai did in the original series."

Whether this fan theory is true or not, one mystery that will definitely be unraveled in Book 2 is why the Spirit World falls out of balance.

Another popular topic of discussion is Katara. Some fans believe that "The Legend of Korra" Book 2 will show the demise of Katara, especially in a season that is supposed to be about conflicts ravaging the Water Tribe.

"If you recall the episode 'The Fortuneteller' from Avatar: The Last Airbender, you'll notice that Katara's death probably won't even be shown in The Legend of Korra. Aunt Wu predicted that Katara would die peacefully in her sleep upon the birth of her 3rd great grandchild," writes The Legend of Korra Online.

"As of now, Katara only has 4 grandchildren. Assuming Aunt Wu's prediction was correct, Jinora, Ikki, Meelo and Rohan would have to have 3 children in total before Katara passes away."

And although this fan theory is not exactly pertaining to Book 2, this Twitter believes that Asami is destined to become a future villain!

Since posting this on Twitter, the user has received much attention and negative responses, showing that the Asami love is alive and well, and fans seem to want to continue to root for Asami as a part of Team Avatar.
