Miley Cyrus MTV VMAs 2013 performance is getting costly. Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, are on the verge of breaking up and British Vogue editor Anna Wintour said she is rethinking an upcoming cover because of Miley Cyrus VMAs 2013 performance.

Miley Cyrus was set to be the cover girl on the upcoming Vogue Magazine, but after Miley Cyrus VMAs 2013 performance Anna Wintour reportedly cancelled the cover shoot.

According to sources who talked to Hollywood News Daily, “Anna found the whole thing distasteful. She decided, based on Miley’s performance, to take the cover in a different direction.”

Miley Cyrus would have been positioned to be the next fashion icon if she made the cover. After seeing Miley Cyrus MTV VMAs 2013 performance, Anna Wintour decided that wasn’t the way to go.

Miley Cyrus considered the performance to be fashionable, but it is not likely that Anna Wintour would want the “We Can’t Stop” singer appearing in booty shorts, no pants, or a foam finger on the cover of the storied fashion magazine, Vogue. Miley Cyrus sat for the cover which was supposed to be on the December issue.

The long-time arbiter of fashion, Anna Wintour wasn’t impressed by Miley Cyrus’s MTV VMAs performance but the former “Hannah Montana” doesn’t seem to care much what other people think about her, including Miley Cyrus’ fiancé, Liam Hemsworth. In an exclusive interview with MTV Miley Cyrus said "Me and Robin (Thicke) the whole time said, 'You know, we're about the make history right now. I don't pay attention to the negative because I've seen this play out so many times. Madonna's done it. Britney's done it. Every VMA performance, that's when you're looking for; you're wanting to make history."

Liam Hemsworth was reported to be so mortified by the Miley Cyrus VMAs 2013 performance that he’s ready to call his relationship/engagement with Miley Cyrus off.

An insider told the media that "The VMAs is the straw that will break him. He wants out of the relationship. All of his family and management are begging him to break it off and publicly move on."
