Xbox One Release Date And Price: Allows Multitasking On One Screen? Dashboard Functionality Video Leak Reveals Spec

A video showing off the Xbox One Dashboard and its multitasking functionality has leaked online, CVG.com reports.

The video, seemingly shot by a Microsoft employee, shows a debug Xbox One running a beta version of the new console interface - it allows gamers to use the console's 'snap mode' to run  multiple programs simultaneously on the same screen, CVG.com also reports.

Xbox Live Programming Director Larry Hryb took questions on stage at a GameStop Expo in Las Vegas and apologized for Microsoft's treatment of gamers.

"Look, at Xbox, we really care about the community," Hryb replied when asked point-blank how Microsoft would win back consumers, according to the Huffington Post.

"We're very focused on what is right for gamers. Everybody at Xbox is a gamer. It's not like we just show up, do our work and go home. We want to make this the best game system that you are going to own for the next 10 years."

Xbox One's external HDD support will not be ready on the console's November 22 launch date, GameSpot reports, leaving gamers wondering if Microsoft is not ready for its one-week head start over Sony's own next-generation console release.

"The future plan for Xbox One is definitely to support external storage, much like we do on the Xbox 360. My understanding is that the feature will not be there at launch because the team is working on some other things, but it definitely is on the list. I don't know when it will come in, though," Host Larry Hryb mentioned during a question and answer session at PAX, the Latin Times reports.
