iPhone 5C Release Date: 15-Second Video Of Working iPhone 5C Leaked Online, Shows App Launcher, Web Browser

Yesterday, a leaked spec sheet about the upcoming iPhone 5S made the rounds over the Web. It's now time for the lower-priced 5C to grab the spotlight.

Chinese website CTech, the tipster which leaked the iPhone 5S comparison sheet, has done it again, now with a 15-second hands-on video of the iPhone 5C.

From the video, we can get a glimpse of the plastic-covered phone as it is unlocked. Then, we get to peak at the new iOS 7homescreen, app launcher, as well as the built-in browser.

While the video is certainly short, it is undeniably a great way to keep bloggers, analysts and consumers interested in what would be the first iPhone to target the midrange market.

For the past few months, several leaked features have been reported about the midrange iPhone 5C. While it would feature the same A7 chip and other features popular in Apple's phones, certain compromises were needed to keep the price low. The metallic body, Siri and the alleged fingerprint scanner are just some features cut from the 5C's list of specifications.

According to analysts, the iPhone 5C will target emerging markets such as China and South America. However, it wouldn't  be surprising if Apple would only initially offer the smartphone exclusively in those areas.
