Girl Shot At Yellowstone: Three-Year-Old Allegedly Kills Herself With Gunshot Wound That Could Possibly Belonged To Her Parents

Girl shot at Yellowstone is being identified as three-year-old girl who died from a gunshot wound in the park as Ella Marie Tucker, of Pocatello, Idaho.

The girl that got shot at Yellowstone allegedly killed herself with the gunshot, though no further details have been revealed because the investigation of the incident is still ongoing.

Ella Marie Tucker's parents' names have not been revealed because it is not known about their role in the death of their three-year-old daughter who was the girl shot at Yellowstone on Monday.

Park officials say Ella's mother called for help on Saturday to report her daughter had shot herself with a handgun. Park rangers who responded to Grant Village Campground on the western shore of Yellowstone Lake were unable to resuscitate her, according to the Associated Press.

Carrying a gun in a national park has been legal under a federal law that took effect in 2010, so it could possibly explain why there was a gun inside Yellowstone.

Known as the first national park in the world, Yellowstone is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser, which is one of the most popular features in the park. It has many types of ecosystems, but the subalpine forest is dominant.
