Jennifer Lopez Begins American Idol Season 13 As New Album Enlists Taylor Swift And Chris Brown Collaborations

Jennifer Lopez is going to have a busy few months ahead, with "American Idol" season 13 duties just starting and a new album in the works as well.

As "American Idol" season 13 fans may know, Jennifer Lopez will be returning as a judge along with Keith Urban and newcomer Harry Connick Jr.

"Instinctively, Harry and Jennifer are gonna look for something different anyway," says Keith Urban regarding the "American Idol" season 13 judging panel. "All three of us are gonna hear something different."

Indeed, with Jennifer Lopez's hip-hop, pop background, Urban's country roots, and Harry Connick Jr.'s jazz influence, "American Idol" should be a very interesting watch this year.

"There's some music out there that has lyrics that are just base and offensive primarily to women..." says Harry Connick Jr. regarding according to iVillage.

"I mean, I'm all about freedom of speech and being creative, but some of this stuff is really like musical pornography. ... My oldest is 17 and I can't police things. Sometimes she'll be hanging with her friends and I hear stuff and I think I'm listening to it in a different way than they are. I don't even know if they're paying attention, but I'm like, 'Come on, man -- seriously, that's nasty."

But two artists who will hopefully stay out of Harry's sphere of judgment are Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez, who will reportedly collaborate for J.Lo's new album.

Jennifer Lopez, according to New York Daily News, plans to release a new album in November, and artists from Taylor Swift to Chris Brown will reportedly be featured.
