Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date: Delayed By Final Fantasy XV Launch? Both Games Aren’t Likely To Arrive At The Same Time, Developer Reveals

Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy XV aren't likely to arrive at the same time, since both games are by the same director, IGN reports.

Developer Shinji Hashimoto told the website that having Tetsuya Nomura as director for both projects would obviously have an impact.

When asked why Square Enix decided to announce the game this year if significant progress hasn't perhaps been made, Hashimoto explained that the company thought it was about time it addressed speculation about the long-awaited conclusion to the trilogy - leaving gamers none-the-wiser about how far along development for the game actually is, IGN also reports.

But Square Enix hosted a pre-launch event for the upcoming release of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMix at the Anaheim Marriott last weekend, leaving gamers wondering if the developer will now focus its energies on revealing Kingdom Hearts 3.

PS3 Trophies has also revealed the full trophy list for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, which is expected to come out on September 10.

But an increasing number of gamers are awaiting announcements about the highly-anticipated successor game within the series.

The game's developer is working on exclusive content for several Playstation platforms.

The Osaka branch of Square Enix 1st Production Department is developing Kingdom Hearts 3 - the product will be published by Square Enix with Disney Interactive Studios handling the distribution duties, Examiner.com reports.
