Mario Lopez And Wife Courtney Welcome Baby Number 2, Dominic; Announces Gender On Twitter: ‘It's A Boy!’

Mario Lopez and his wife Courtney Lopez welcomed baby number 2 in Los Angeles on Monday, September 9. Mario Lopez took to Twitter to share details of his new baby's gender, name, and well-being.

"It's a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please welcome Dominic Lopez to the world!" Mario Lopez, 39, announced on his Twitter account about baby number 2, Us Weekly reports.

"Couldn't be happier... @CourtneyMLopez & baby are doing just fine... :)"

Dominic will be a little brother to his big sister Gia, 3.

"I am in heaven right now.... And in a bar. #CelebratingDominicLopez #BabyLopezNumber2," Lopez tweeted about an hour following the birth announcement.

The proud papa sure knows how to celebrate fatherhood!

"Healthy" little Dominic weighed in at 7 lbs., 2 oz., Mario and his wife Courtney Lopez revealed in a statement via EXTRA early Tuesday.

"Mother and baby are doing well," they added.

Then-pregnant actress Courtney said she felt "feel prepared in a way" for baby number two, Us Weekly reports.

"Although I'm hoping it's like riding a bike and that I'll just remember what I did with Gia, because now all the newborn stuff she obviously doesn't need anymore. So I try to think what did I use for this and how did I know that. Hopefully it'll come back to me," she told Us Weekly.

The couple have known each other since 2006, but they didn't start dating until 2008, Hollywood Life reports. Mario and wife Courtney got married in December 2012 in Mexico and Courtney announced she was pregnant for the second time in late February.

Mario, the host of "X Factor," admitted to Us Weekly he was hoping for a boy for baby number 2. "I already have a girl, so if we have a boy that would be nice," he told Us shortly after the announcement. "But I won't be disappointed if we don't."
