Jennifer Love Hewitt Gets Feisty: Battery Charges Filed Against Fiance Brian Hallisay After Altrecation With Papparazzi

Jennifer Love Hewitt's fiancé Brian Hallisay was accused of battery against a paparazzo.

A battery report was taken against Hallisay after he got into a scuffle with a paparazzo....even though Hallisay let the pap take some snaps.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Hallisay were eating dinner in Brentwood, Ca. at Toscana, when a photog started to snap pics of the two as they left...and Hallisay was really, really not in the mood.

The couple are expecting their first child together-perhaps Hallisay was feeling protective of the baby?

Regardless, Hallisay asked the pap to stop...and he dind't, so apparently, Hallisay went rogue. The paparazzo claims he was injured after his camera hit him in the face.

Hallisay apparently even let the pap take a few photos after the interaction because he felt bad...but he still went to police and filed the battery report against Hewitt's husband-to-be.

However, there have been no arrests...yet.
