Park Jin Young’s Success – ‘Thanks to My Efforts? Or Dumb Luck?’

Singer Park Jin Young talks about his new album Halftime.

Park Jin Young appeared as a guest on Mnet's "Spring Summer Fall Winter Forest" on September 11, and talked about his new music to go along with his life's "halftime." He talked about his new 10th album and said, "It's an album for all those fans who have waited a long time for me, and it is full of all the thoughts that were building up in my head."

He continued, "7 years ago when I entered America I was very successful and happy. At the time, I thought to myself 'Is my success thanks to my effort? Or is it luck?' and these thoughts consumed me until it started affecting my day to day life. I couldn't live comfortably anymore."

Park Jin Young went on to talk about how he tried to put an end to those thoughts by taking a trip to Israel. There, he produced all the songs on his new album, and poured out his agony into the songs.

Park Jin Young is famous for his "half-air, half-sound" judgment and his "singing is just drawn out talking" comment on television. He also said, "Music starts in the heart and ends in the lips."
