Amazon Kindle Fire HD: New Generation Tablet Gets New Design, To Be Launched This Year [PHOTOS]

A year ago, Amazon's Kindle Fire HD tablet was one of the most anticipated devices in the market, an upgrade to its Kindle Fire line which began a year prior. Now, consumers are already eyeing the company's second generation tablet. 

BGR was able to get some snapshots of the upcoming HD tablet, together with its smaller sibling, the Kindle Fire.

As you can see, the second generation Kindle Fire HD tablet look a bit thicker than its predecessor, though it still looks great when viewed from all angles. 

In case you don't have an idea what this tablet features, here's a quick refresher. Amazon's tablet is packed with 1900x1200 resolution within a 7-inch screen, quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB of RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity, and Android 4.2. Jelly Bean out of the box. 

There are also options for 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of internal storage. 

While there is no exact date yet about the tablet's release, we'll surely keep you posted.
