Samsung 64 Bit Mobile CPU Nearing Final Stage Of Development In Quest To Rival Apple's A7 Chip

Just a couple of weeks after Apple unveiled the iPhone 5S with 64-bit compatibility, Samsung 64 bit mobile CPU is reportedly nearing its development.

In a report by a Korean media website, it seems like Samsung is already hot on Apple's heels as far as 64-bit technology is concerned. Furthermore, Daum Media said the rumored CPU will be used for the manufacturer's upcoming tablets and phones.

64-bit CPUs will soon become a commonplace, as the industry is nearing the 4GB RAM mark. In fact, according to GSM Arena, there are already rumors over the Internet that the upcoming Android 4.4 version, a.k.a. KitKat will feature 64-bit support.

And with 3GB of RAM packed in the Korean manufacturer's Galaxy Note 3, it would not be difficult to imagine that the Note 4, or even the Galaxy S5 would get both 4GB of RAM and 64-bit CPUs.
