Nina Dobrev couldn't make it to the 2013 Emmy Awards on Sunday, but that doesn't mean she wasn't supporting a special someone. Is Nina Dobrev dating Derek Hough? Judging by her recent Instagram posts, it seems like Derek Hough may be Nina Dobrev's new boyfriend.
Derek won an Emmy award for Outstanding Choreography, and Nina Dobrev took to her Instagram to congratulate her possible new boyfriend, which of course would mean she may be dating the brother of one of her best friends, Julianne Hough.
"@Derekhough !!!!!!!! #EMMYWINNER I cant express in 140 characters how unbelievably excited+incredibly proud I am of you. You deserve this :)" Nina captioned a photo of Derek with his Emmy award.
She posted another picture on her Instagram, with Julianne and Derek on the red carpet at the 2013 Emmy Awards.
"@juleshough You looked absolutely STUNNING last night ! @derekhough I wish I wasnt filming so I could have been there to celebrate w/u guys!" Nina Dobrev wrote.
Dobrev even posted a third photo with Derek, this time captioning the picture with a very inspirational and heartfelt message that may only be reserved for a boyfriend: "@derekhough Those of us touched by your light got to watch you brighten up the rest of the world. All of this support from Nina could just mean she is a good friend who is truly proud of his Emmy award, but it seems like she is giving Derek a lot of attention. Is he Nina's new boyfriend? Sorry, Ian Somerhalder, but it looks like Nina may be dating a new man!
This is not the first time dating rumors have surfaced about Nina and Derek. Dobrev was spotted getting cozy with "Dancing with the Stars" professional dancer Derek at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood recently, IB Times reports.
According to a Wetpaint report, Nina was spotted with Derek watching a magical performance. A fan captured the cozy moment between the two and shared the video on Instagram. Nina's arms can be seen in the video comfortably tucked underneath the 28-year-old pro dancer as they watched, smiled and enjoyed the magical show. The "Vampire Diaries" actress looked happy as she giggled, played with her hair and danced a little while watching the magic show with Derek, IB Times reports.
