‘Harry Potter’ Actor Has ‘Horns:’ Dark Fantasy Thriller Prepares Daniel Radcliffe For Upcoming “Frankenstein” Role

Daniel Radcliffe, still associated with 'Harry Potter' fame, has a new movie "Horns" where he plays a man who suddenly has horns. He prefers taking bizarre roles, and he's excited over his upcoming "Frankenstein" role."

"Horns" is an adaptation from the novel of the same name. The protagonist, Ig (Daniel Radcliffe) is madly in love with Merrin (Juno Temple). It seemed like an ideal relationship, until Merrin was suddenly murdered. In an unfortunate twist, Ig became the main suspect and he was too drunk to remember what transpired. He firmly believed that he would never commit such an act no matter how drunk he was.

The next morning, Ig awakens to find that horns grew out of his temples. Along with the horns, he had an ability to make people confess their darkest secrets. This became useful, as he uses his power to track his girlfriend's killer and prove his innocence.

Radcliffe had an interview with Fearnet and he talked about how he liked offbeat and bizarre roles, which were conveniently offered to him. He is brimming with anticipation over his next role in "Frankenstein." He plays Igor opposite James McAvoy who will take the title role.

"We haven't even started rehearsals yet, but in terms of Igor, I think we're going to see a character who is given a lot more depth than we've seen him allowed in any other incarnations of the story." "It's a wild script. It constantly surprises you and it's great, great fun as well," Radcliffe enthused. "The relationship between Igor and Victor is one of two young men at the absolute forefront of the technology of their day. Plus it's a story about them pushing each other further, eventually having to make decisions about their relationship and their morality. I'm really excited about it and very excited to be working with James McAvoy as well."
