Nokia Tablet Rumors 2013: AT&T Rep Confirms Upcoming Device, Windows-Powered Tablet Will Have 10.1-inch Display, 1920x1080 HD Resolution, 6.7 MP Camera

Nokia table rumors have been circulating since early this year and according to an online source, AT&T has confirmed that it will be releasing a Nokia tablet as well as a larger smartphone that would fall under the phablet category. According to Mobile Bloom, while the source who confirmed the upcoming device was unidentified, the revelation is line with various rumors about a dubbed Nokia “Sirius” tablet to be launched by the company.

In the past few months, there have been reports that Nokia will launch the Nokia Sirius and a 6-inch smartphone to be called Lumia 1520. The tablet leaked last month for the first time and is rumored to be publicly unveiled on October 22, Mobile Bloom reports. The alleged October 22 release date is said to be the date for the unveiling of the Nokia Lumia 1520 as well.

Rumors suggest that specs of the Nokia tablet include, which will be powered by Windows 8.1 RT, will have 10.1-inch display with 1920 x 1080 HD resolution, 6.7 MP camera and will run on a quad-core processor by Qualcomm. It would either be the Qualcomm 600 or 800 Snapdragon. Expected pricing for the device is said to be at the $500 price range.

The battery life for the rumored upcoming device will be up to 10 hours, similar to the battery power of the Microsoft Surface 2. Based on the earlier leaked image of the said device, the new tablet will have a polycarbonate shell that is in bright red. The Lumia 1520, on the other hand, according to reports will have a 6-inch touch screen display and also a 41MP camera.

The expected October 22 announcement date for both the Lumia 1520 and the Nokia Tablet has been unconfirmed, but one thing many tech reporters know is that the unveiling will happen in Abu Dhabi. Mobile Loom says that more information is expected to arrive as the date nears.
