iMac 2013 Release Date, Reviews: Next-Gen WiFi, Faster Processing And Higher-End Graphics For Apple’s New Line Of Haswell-Powered Desktops

iMac 2013 release date revealed the official specs of Apple’s newest line of desktops powered by Intel’s newest quad-core processors dubbed as “Haswell.” The latest range of iMacs now has next-gen WiFi, faster processing capabilities and higher-end graphics. They come in both 21.5-inch and 27-inch models.

“iMac continues to be the example that proves how beautiful, fast and fun a desktop computer can be,” Apple’s marketing SVP Phil Schiller said in a press release.

According to the Business Times, the new iMacs looks identical to the 2012 iMacs but still with an updated under-the-hood which includes a faster processing and graphics chip. The new iMacs with the new Intel quad-core chips also have faster wi-fi with 801.11 ac, 8GB of RAM and 1 TB hard drive.

The 21.5-inch models are priced at $1,299 for 2.7 GHz quad-core i5 processor and Intel Iris Pro graphics, while it’s slightly more expense $1,499 versions has 2.9 GHz quad-core i5 processor and NVIDI GeForce GT 705M, 1 GB video memory.

Price for the 27-inch models starts at $1,799, with the model having 3.2 GHz quad-core i5 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M and 1 GB video memory. It’s higher-end counterpart with a price tag of $1,999 lends the user a 2GB video memory with the same NVIDI processor but with a 3.4 GHz quad-core i5 processor.

Apple can also offer build-to-order specifications for the new iMacs. The iMac is the latest product line of Apple to have the Haswell processors, which many are expecting to be on the upcoming MacBook Pros that is expected to be released on October 15.
