iPhone 6 Rumors: Analysis Report Claims Apple's Upcoming iPhone Will Have 4.8-Inch Screen

During Apple's iPhone launch almost a month ago, a lot of consumers and several analysts were criticizing the company's lack of innovation as far as aesthetics are concerned. That is because apart from the Touch ID sensor and the champagne gold option, virtually nothing changed in the design of the current iPhone from last year's flagship. Now, several iPhone 6 rumors are claiming that the company's most priced phone lineup may finally have a screen over 4 inches.

In a note to investors on Monday, Jefferies & Co. analyst Peter Misek placed a Buy rating on Apple's stock and increased the company's price target from $450 to $600.

The reason? According to BGR, Misek's sources told him that the Cupertino company is getting more favorable prices as far as supplies is concerned. Another, which is far more interesting than the previous one, is that the upcoming iPhone 6 would have a 4.8-inch display.

"Despite still seeing risk to CQ4 and FY13 revs, we now believe better [gross margins] will allow Apple to skate by until iPhone 6 launches with its 4.8″ screen," wrote Misek in this note. "We est ~50% of smartphone shipments have >4″ screens and that iPhone 6 will catalyze a large upgrade cycle. The stock is attractive based on the attitude change, FY15 revs >+15%, and valuation."

Several weeks ago, reports from WSJ and a note from KGI Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo also mentioned that Apple wil launch an iPhone next year with a bigger screen. And with reputable analysts confirming it, we may finally see a Retina display above 4 inches.
