YG Arrests Mr. Kim For Vicious Rumors Spread About Their Artists

Because of the allegations and rumors placed upon the shoulders of artists such as IU and Young Ae and how those situations were resolved, other companies have begun to take this issue much more seriously. Bordering companies have come to an agreement that this kind of cyber bullying and treatment should be tolerated no longer and that action has to be taken. Most of these rumor spreaders on the internet take comfort in the fact that they are online andanonymous. It is exactly this reason why they are fooled into thinking that companies would take this lightly. And YG Entertainment (Big Bang and 2NE1) joins in with the motion to stop this. YG Entertainment has filed charges against a netizen who has been causing trouble for the agency and its artists for a long time.

YG Entertainment commissioned an investigation, and the Mapo district police tracked the IP address to a “Mr.Kim,” who was then booked. “Mr. Kim” confessed to his crimes during questioning. It was also found out that he was the same rumor spreader for many of the artists of YG Entertainment.

“Mr.Kim” wrote and spread malicious and false rumors about YG Entertainment and its artists for many years, and the number of counts is said to be innumerable. YG Entertainment finally took action against this internet users as the messages and rumors were getting worse and to deter others from doing the same thing.

“Mr.Kim” confessed during questioning, “I wrote the first malicious message a few years ago because of stress due to personal issues. I needed to vent. I got addicted to this type of behavior. I want to apologize and promise that I won’t do it again.”

The company promises to take better care of their artists by not taking these types of situations lightly.
