Robert Pattinson As Christian Grey Isn’t Happening! ‘Water For Elephants’ Actor To Turn Down The Role If Ever It Will Be Offered To Him

Now that 'Sons of Anarchy' actor Charlie Hunnam is out of the picture, Robert Pattinson is back as a contender for Christian Grey's role in the '50 Shades of Grey' movie adaptation. The 'Twilight' hunk has always been author E.L. James' first choice for the role of dreamy billionaire Christian.

However, despite the author's liking for the British actor, an insider claims that Kristen Stewart's ex-boyfriend will shy away from the role if ever there will be offers: "Pattinson does not want to be part of another franchise where he would not be able to show his acting skills. It is just not the route the actor wants his acting career to follow and so even if he is offered the role of Christian Grey he would definitely turn down the role."

Hunnam backed out from the role because of conflicts in his schedules but some claimed that the actor's real reason was his fear to be followed around by the media after playing the controversial role.

With just a few weeks before the filming of '50 Shades of Grey', movie producers are hurrying to find a replacement for Hunnam. They are reportedly showing much interest towards 'Once Upon a Time' actor James Dornan who still has to comment whether he has indeed received an offer.
