Kim Kardashian’s Engagement Ring from Ex-Husband Kris Humphries Auctioned For $749,000; Part Of Proceeds To Go To Charity

Kim Kardashian's ex-husband Khris Humphries just gained a whopping $749,000 after auctioning the diamond engagement ring which he used to propose to his then-girlfriend.

The Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring was sold at Christie's in New York in an auction called 'Bright and Beautiful'. The bidding for the diamond ring began at $200,000.

Auction organizer Gabriel Ford reveals that they have acquired overwhelming repose for potential buyers of the jewelry piece. According to him, two bidders were very adamant in getting the ring. It was reportedly a tough fight between an online bidder and a phone bidder. The bidder over the phone eventually won the bidding war.

Humphries confirmed last month that he'd be selling the 20 carat-ring which he purchased for $2 million. Christie's estimated the ring's value to be anywhere from $300,000 to $500,000 and after being sold for $749,000, Humphries certainly got a profitable deal.

Humphries proposed to the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' in May 2011 but after their failed marriage, the actress silently gave back the ring to her ex-husband. Humphries waited for the divorce to be finalized after selling the ring.

Part of the proceeds from the sale will reportedly go to a charity which still needs to be named.
