Katy Perry’s Newest Song Will Be Different From ‘Roar’: Songstress Reveals That Her Latest Song Is All About Loving Someone Despite His Dirty Laundry

Katy Perry has recently released a love song entitled 'Unconditionally' from her upcoming album 'Prism'. As its name suggests, the ballad portrays one's selfless love for a person in the midst of his flaws.

"Oh no, did I get too close? Oh, did I almost see what's really on the inside? All your insecurities, all the dirty laundry never made me blink one time," sings the 28-year-old pop star.

The track serves as the follow-up of her platinum-selling lead single, 'Roar'. This week, another song was allegedly leaked online, 'Birthday'. As compared to 'Unconditionally', the song has a more upbeat mood.

Apart from having a chart-topping album, Perry is likewise hailed as the newest face of highly-acclaimed cosmetics brand Cover Girl.

"BEAUTIFUL news to share w/you all. Today is my 1st day as a @COVERGIRL! See what happens when you let the light in? #COVERGIRLKATY," Russell Brand's ex-wife tweeted.

For her, 'Unconditional Love' is dissimilar from her jungle-inspired song: "It's a love song and it's different from 'Roar' - it's not eighth-notey and I think it's a universal love song that everyone's going to be able to relate to no matter the age, no matter male or female."

'Prism' will be released on October 22 via Capital Records. Other songs to be included in the album are 'Dark Horse' and 'Walking on Air'.
