'Batman vs. Superman' To Start Filming Its Action-Packed Football Scene; Shirts And Prizes To Be Given Away To Extras

The much-anticipated sequel to the 'Man of Steel' informally entitled as  'Batman vs. Superman' has started filming some of its football scenes last October 19 at the East Los Angeles College's Weingart Stadium in Monterey Park, California.

According to sources, the production team will be filming during the halftime of the scheduled football game of Husky. Director Zack Synder will still spearhead the sequel while most of 'Man of Steel's' cast members have been retained including Henry Cavill as Clark Kent or Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White. Ben Affleck will be playing the legendary role of Bruce Wayne or Batman.

The stadium will reportedly be transformed into the home stadium of Gotham City University. It will serve as a setting for one of the film's most exciting scenes - a football game between the college teams of Superman and Batman.

Warner Bros. have previously sent out announcements that they would be needing extras for the football game's audience. What they're looking for are people coming from the Los Angeles area especially students. Apart from having a glimpse of the film's shooting, 2,000 film-inspired shirts will be given to those who first participated. Prizes will likewise be raffled all throughout the night.

The whole filming of the scene will approximately last for 20 minutes. Until now, the 'Batman vs. Superman' movie which will be released on July 2015, has no official title yet.
