Star receiver Julio Jones is out for the year with an injured foot while fellow star receiver Roddy White will be out for a few weeks at least with a nagging hamstring and ankle. Steven Jackson will miss his fourth straight game with a hamstring injury as well.

"We're in a difficult streak with injuries right now, but I think as coaches we look at it as a challenge," offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter told reporters. "No one thinks you have a chance right now, so let's try to figure out a way to get this done."

Tony Gonzalez, who came out of a potential retirement for one more season to reach the Super Bowl, becomes the Falcons number one offensive weapon for Matt Ryan to throw to. For the Buccaneers, receiver Mike Williams question of playing Sunday is still in doubt. 

Josh Freeman will start at quarteback for the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants.
