Valencia CF will face off against rival Real Sociedad on Saturday, placing two of the Spain's La Liga BBVA closely followed teams against each other.

Valencia CF, coming out of a 1-1 draw with Athletic CLub, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

Valencia CF coach Miroslav Djukic announced earlier this month that his team encountered a rough patch in their season but is getting on track.

"We had a very difficult situation, the team was not good," he said, according to ESPN.com

"On top of that, the fans could have gone against us. But the players went out on the pitch to go for the win, with a very good attitude."

Real Sociedad, coming out of a 1-0 loss to Rayo Vallecano, is slated as the underdog in the match but is rumored to give Valencia CF good competition.

Real Sociedad Manager Jagoba Arrasate announced earlier this month that his team must make sure they show good football on the field during the league tournament.

"We feel quite calm, because we have already played many matches together. Of course, for us it will be an important game. It is interesting for us to see how the current squad will perform in the Champions League," he mentioned during an interview, according to Shakhtar.com.

"I think that we have studied the opponents properly. Of course, we watched a video, and our representatives have attended some of the games. However, I think that the most important thing is not to study your opponents but try yourselves to show good football."
