Atletico Madrid will face off against rival RCD Espanyol on Saturday, placing two of the Spain's La Liga BBVA closely followed teams against each other.

Atletico Madrid, coming out of a 2-1 victory over Celta de Vigo, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

Atletico Madrido Manager Diego Simeone said tactical changes are the secret behind his team's victory.

"We spoke in the dressing-room about positioning ourselves better on the pitch," he said, according to ESPN.com.

"When we changed to play with five in the centre we felt better on the field. We played better and, bit-by-bit, were able to attack more. I believe we won well."

RCD Espanyol, coming out of a 2-1 loss to Elche CF, is slated as the underdog in the match but is rumored to give Atletico Madrid good competition.

RCD Espanyol Manager Javier Aguierre said he is ready and prepared to confront Atletico Madrid in the upcoming match.

"They are a hard working side, based around the same players that got them promoted and the same coach," he said, according to SkySports.com.

"They play positively, are dynamic in their movements and they are assured about how they want to play."
